Ahead of the "best of salem county" 2022 competition, i'd like to highlight some of last year's winners, and local favorites of Natalie Serwan Photography!

Salem County New Jersey is home to a diverse collection of people, businesses, agriculture, and other industries. From small, locally owned retail establishments to professional services, construction, non-profits, and more, every year the members of the Salem County Chamber of Commerce are eligible to be voted The Best of Salem County!

This is my first year of eligibility, so please don't forget to vote for Natalie Serwan Photography for Best Photographer in Salem County when the ballot goes live on March 1st, 2022 at www.SalemCountyChamber.com

Let's take a look at some of the winners from 2021

2021 WINNER

Arts & Culture - Best Lodging

Food & Restaurants - Best Event Center

The Inn at Salem Country club

91 Salem Country Club Road, Salem, NJ

(609) 420-8190 | salemcountryclubnj.com

I may be a bit biased, but I am in love with this beautiful venue right in our own backyard! Salem County surely has something special here. I had the pleasure of photographing John and Amy's wedding there in September 2021 and can not wait to go back again this year!

2021 WINNER

Food & Restaurants - Best Coffee

Woodstown Bakery & Coffee Shop

17 N. Main Street, Woodstown, NJ

(856) 823-5275 | facebook.com/woodstownbakery

If you're looking for a cup of coffee or a tasty treat that is made with love and a dash of witty humor, this is the place. Owners Drew and Leah Ratliff have been champions of bringing life back to downtown Woodstown! I hope you'll give them a try and have a reason to vote for them again this year!

Ah yes, my favorite duo of stores in town: WBCS and Dye of your Dreams.

2021 WINNER

Agriculture - Best Winery

Auburn Road Vineyards

117 Sharptown-Auburn Road, Pilesgrove, NJ (609) 420-8190 | auburnroadvineyards.com

Auburn Road Vineyards have rightfully earned their spot as the Best Winery in Salem County. From live music, great food, and great wine in the Enoteca, to warm summer nights outside under the stars amongst the vineyards... It truly is a dream date night spot and event venue!

Stop by to pick up one of their signature wines (my favorite as of late is Giluia) and make a reservation to take that special someone out for a date to remember!

My favorite now may be a boastful red, but this glass of Give Peach a Chance did not last long the last time I dined in.

2021 WINNER

Arts & Culture - Best Art Creations, Best Culture & Entertainment, Best Art Instruction

Appel Farm Arts & Music Camp

457 Shirley Road, Elmer, NJ

(856) 358-2472 | appelfarm.org

Appel Farm Arts & Music Camp has a LOT going on, it is no wonder they've won so many categories! From summer camp, to arts instruction, and a live performance and event venue, Appel Farm is woven into the fabric of Salem County.

2021 winner

Retail - Best Books

Barney Loves Books

22 S. Main Street, Woodstown, NJ

(856) 624-4723 | barneylovesbooks.com

Who doesn't love a local, independently owned bookstore? This charming place opened up shortly after Tom & Paula Barney moved to Woodstown to be closer to family. You can find just about anything here, with prices that will make you question whether the owner is just giving books away! I wish Tom Barney the best of luck in this year's competition!

2021 WINNER

Non-Profit - Best Senior Services & Support

90 Market Street, Salem, NJ

(856) 935-3663 | scmealsonwheels.org

Carly and her team at Meals on Wheels of Salem County do a LOT to help out our senior and aging community members.
